The winter of 2012-2013 has done its worst. Sunsets have been getting later since December 9, at 4:32 PM (CDT). Daylight hours have been increasing since the December 21 solstice low of 8 hours, 47 minutes. Sunrises have been getting earlier since January 1, at 7:51 AM. By the end of January, we will have regained over an hour of daylight.
The minimum high (23 degrees F), average (15), and low (7) temperatures were reached on January 12, 15, and 17 respectively. It's all up from here, though it seems like we should wait until after the Super Bowl to really feel it, making way for Spring Training and The Daytona 500.

CST? Central Standard Time? Instead of CDT? Central Daylight Time?

It's one of my favorite nit picks. I have also been known to go on about the difference between the Gregorian and Julian Calendars.
